The LAVI team is comprised of people dedicated to teaching (undergraduate and graduate levels) and research in the field of acoustics, vibrations, and dynamics. We work on several projects in partnership with industry and other universities (in Brazil and abroad). Our main areas of application are oil drilling column dynamics, rotodynamics, uncertainty modeling, system identification, and structural and machine diagnostics. We prioritize an interdisciplinary approach that includes thermoelasticity, fluid-structure analysis, magnetic forces, nonlinear dynamics, and machine learning techniques.
