OpenSD 2026 Winter School

The OpenSD 2026 Winter School (Open-Source Scientific Computing in Structural Dynamics Conference) was organized at UFRJ, July, 2026. The idea was to create a fertile environment for students, researchers, users, and industry professionals to share ideas, projects, and recent advances in open-source software applied to structural dynamics, rotating machine dynamics, and mechanical vibrations.

People from Florianópolis, São Paulo, Minas Gerais, Manaus, Brasília and Rio de janeiro, from the University and the Industry gathered at COPPE/UFRJ for the event. The Winter School featured seminars and round-tables with researchers and developers of open software, as well as applied activities, providing practical tools for all participants. This was the first Open-Source Software School in South America.
